KSC production for the World Food Program

With sugar and other foodstuffs (Sorghum, Sunflower Seed Oil, etc.) from Sudan, the door to trade with the West is opened — a door that has been effectively closed for over 3 decades.

  • Sudan Trade story

Since 1956, Sudan has had a negative balance of trade, importing far more than it exports, which slows economic growth and per capita income. The export of oil in the early 2000s was cut by the separation from South Sudan in 2011. 8 of 10 Sudanese citizens work in agriculture and animal products to earn money and feed their families. Sudan has up to 200 million acres of arable but uncultivated land which needs investment in order to produce for domestic or export use.

  • Impact of 2020 COVID-19 Pandemic on Sudan Trade

China’s 30-year high growth is gone; Sudan is now focusing on the Asia market due to the OPEC nations being in steep decline. Oil prices are at their lowest in decades. Saudi Arabia canceled the Haj, their 2nd largest revenue producer. Russia is in decline with oil prices falling & spikes of COVID-19 hot spots. India & Egypt are experiencing a recession in lockdown from the virus. These conditions isolate Sudan from the West (US 24%, EU 23% of world GDP).

  • The pandemic offers Sudan an opportunity to produce and export food

During the pandemic, Sudan can produce and export food to the World Food Program (WFP) who needs food for Sudan and neighboring nations. Applying to the IMF trillion USD pandemic rescue fund with a main focus on Africa and applying to the World Bank plan to invest in agriculture and energy production in Africa.

  • WFP trade is the door to Covid-19 pandemic emergency funds

KSC is a qualified vendor/supplier of WFP. KSC is completing WFP advanced application to register KSC. On WFP rosters to bid/sell sugar and bid/broker other foods (sorghum, sunflower seed oil, etc.)

How will KSC accomplish this transformation?

The Marketing and Sales arms of KSC propose to create a computerized platform for all KSC management and business arms to review WFP’s need for information qualifying KSC for various product rosters. KSC needs to systematically match information needs, KSC sources for information, And collaboration to update and monitor information on traded goods. The platform would indicate what organizational sources provide process information on a regular basis.
